dc.description.abstractSupply chain management is the consistent involvement of all parties directly or indirectly to fulfill the customer needs. So, supply chain management is becoming the most essential part of the management in any business. Bangladesh is an agricultural country, where 12.5% of the GDP in 2020-2021 financial year was contributed by the agriculture including crops, livestock, fisheries and forest products. Bangladesh has strong agricultural benefits due to its fertile soil and geographical condition. One of the industries in Bangladesh that is expanding at a fast pace is the livestock industry. Around 1.90% of GDP contribution is received from the livestock sector with a growth rate of around 3.10% in the 2021- 22 financial year. The Government and private livestock farms are creating big opportunities for new entrepreneurs by investing into the development of livestock sector. The Ministry of Fisheries and Livestock (MOFL) controls and supervises the Department of Livestock Services (DLS), the primary key developer for the livestock sector in Bangladesh, to ensure development and further advancement. To fulfill the government mission, meet the demand of animal protein for everyone is also supported by private livestock farms by enhancing the production of the livestock farms. Private farms invested heavily in the development of the livestock sector in Bangladesh. In Bangladesh, animal protein source is completely dependent on private and government livestock farms animal products. In this research, the researcher has conducted an analytical study on government and private livestock farms supply chain management. The supply chain process of these farms helps researcher to understand how these farms functions. It will also help to understand the livestock industries supply chain management in terms of different type of farms process of acquiring the raw materials for the farms and turn them into finished goods for consumers.
