Abstract: Introduction: With the changing times there has been change in the lifestyle of individuals of each era. These changes, being inflicted, with the mannerism of the current patterns have and influence in the day to day activities of any individual thereby affecting the physical status. The advancements in the field of ease to live have resulted in a skew in this lifestyle pattern towards a more sedentary nature. But, this has tripped off the current individuals towards diseases which resurrect owing to nidanas causing Santarpana. One such disorder is Dyslipidemia (Medoroga), which is influenced by such lifestyle and characterized by abnormal levels of lipids circulating in the body which are resultant of morbid/mortal consequences. Though the contemporary science has limited approach towards management of such conditions through medications, Ayurveda propagates very modest formulations that can affect the accumulation of such agents in the body. Thus to further explore the effect of such a lifestyle habits on the health o an individual in terms of Dylipideima and to validate the efficacy of Ayurvedic Formulations in such conditions this study has been carried out TO EVALUATE THE EFFICACY OF YAVALAUHA CHURANA IN THE MANAGEMENT OF DYSLIPIDAEMIA-AN OPEN LABELED, RANDOMIZED CONTROLLED CLINICAL TRIAL. Objective of the study: 1. To establish the effect of yavalauha churana in dyslipidaemia. 2. To assess the effectiveness of the drugs on selected subjective and objective parameters. 3. TO review Dyslipidemia (particularly hyperlipidemia) thoroughly. Methods: A complete study of Dyslipidemia and the correlated of Medoroga in Ayurveda was carried out through texts of contemporary science and Ayurveda alongwith relevant research articles, information on internet etc. understanding the nature of the condition and possible modes of interventions after which a clinical study was designed randomly creating 2 groups of subjects to be treated with drugs Atorvastatin and Yavalauha Churna respectively.
