dc.description.abstractnewline Scientists across the world have become much attentive during recent few decades to investigate the reason behind the global warming and associated climate change over the world. Results of several researchers reveal that an increase in greenhouse gases such as methane, nitrous oxide, CO2, CO etc. are the main contributing factors for significantly increase in air temperature which in turn causing global warming and also the induced regional climate change. Though the reason behind the global climate change has been well exposed by various scientists around all over the world, study of climate changes related to regional scale also need equal attention for energy budget, water resources and overall economy of the region. Indian Himalayas has also not been untouched by changing climate conditions induced by orographic features of Himalayas, land use and land cover and some anthropogenic activities.
