The main objective of the present thesis involves STUDY OF STRUCTURAL PHASE AND MORPHOLOGY DEPENDENT PROPERTIES OF TRANSITION METAL OXIDE NANOSTRUCTURES . The structural phase and morphology of transition metal oxides are highly related to the properties of these oxides. At the nanostructured level, these oxides are impactful in recent technological advancement in the field of energy storage and waste-water treatment. The present work is an attempt to synthesize different phases and morphologies of WO3 and MoO3 nanostructures and their nanocomposites using different synthesis parameters such as surfactants, urea, pH and solvents. WO3 and MoO3 are the interesting materials since they exhibits different phases and morphologies and therefore found their applications in dye adsorption from waste-water as well as in dielectric study. Different phase combinations of WO3/MoO3 nanocomposites are synthesized to improve the properties of these oxides. newline
