Abstract: | This study was conducted to explore the relationship of mental health, life skills with life satisfaction and also to find out the predictors of life satisfaction. The total sample of 300 teacher educators of Punjab was selected through multistage stratified random sampling by using mixed method research design. The data was analysed by using t-ratio, ANOVA, product moment correlation techniques, regression equations and thematic analysis. The results showed that teacher educators of Punjab were found to be 31.7% low life satisfaction, 41.7% average life satisfaction and 26.7% high life satisfaction. The findings revealed that significant positive correlation was found between mental health, decision making, communication skills, interpersonal relationship skills, coping with stress and life skills. Significant differences were found in life satisfaction of teacher educators with respect to their different age groups, teaching stream and educational qualifications. The qualitative analysis also supports the findings of quantitative analysis of the study. Mental health, decision making, communication skills and coping with stress were found to be predictors of life satisfaction of teacher educators. From quantitative and qualitative results, It can be said that mental health, communication skills, decision making and coping with stress play a significant role in the life satisfaction of teacher educators, so this study becomes very useful for institutions, teacher educators, administrators as well as policymakers for the growth of teacher educators. newline |
