Abstract: Hydrodynamic squeeze film plays a vital role in engineering practice. The newlinediscovery of film lubrication had a profound effect on the design of bearings. It is resulted newlinein a complete reversal and understanding in the limitations of bearing design, operation newlineand life expectancy of machinery. newlineThe characteristics of squeeze film occur at the phenomenon of both lubricated newlinesurfaces which are approaching each other together with a normal velocity. These two newlinesurfaces take a specific time to come into contact. Therefore the lubricant which is newlineviscous in nature lies between these two surfaces cannot be squeeze out instantaneously. newlineHence this lubricant between these two surfaces will resists the squeezing out by applying newlinepressure and because of that positive pressure is built up throughout the space, the newlinelubricant film then supports the load newline
