Title: Designing and developing yoga teaching aids for school students and teachers simplifying yogic knowledge

Abstract: This study is bilingual and its purpose is to design and develop innovative Yoga Teaching Aids newline(YTA) based on yogic terminologies and Patanjali Ashtanga Yoga for positive health and evaluate newlineits efficacy among elementary, senior and senior secondary school students (5-18 years) and newlineexperienced teachers. In the conducted research, the data from school students was collected newlinethrough offline mode and from the teachers through hybrid mode (offline in 23 and online in 37 newlineschools). To test the above designed materials a sum total of two hundred sixteen (216) students newlinefrom three (3) schools were selected out of which one was urban elementary, one was day care newlineshelter home and another was rural senior secondary school. Among five hundred thirty six (536) newlineteachers, 290 were engaged in urban and 246 in rural schools. The teachers data was collected newlinefrom twenty (20) urban and forty (40) rural schools. Seven teaching aids named i-ii-iii) ABC of newlineYoga charts (in three series i.e. I, II and III), iv-v) Hindi-bhashi Yogic varnmala charts (in two series newlinei.e. I and II), vi) Yogic Snakes and Ladders game and vii) Yogic Chess board game have been newlinedesigned and developed and their efficacy has also been tested by using statistical methods to newlineaccomplish the work. The procedures of the study included designing and developing materials, newlinegetting experts opinions, revisions, trying and developing the final product and lastly testing its newlineefficacy using Descriptive statistics, Chi Square test, Paired t-test and RMANOVA. ABC of Yoga newlinecharts in English in three series have been designed in such a way that the important yogic newlineterminologies like A for Asana , B for Body etc. and Hindi-bhashi Yogic varnamala charts newlinein two series to teach and#2309; and#2360;and#2375; and#2309;and#2357;and#2361;and#2379;and#2306;and#2360;and#2366; and#2367; and#2310; and#2360;and#2375; and#2310;and#2360;and#2344; and#2310;and#2361;and#2342; could be nurtured among elementary newlineschool children of age group five (5) to ten (10) years with the help of precise meanings and colored newlinepictures. It has been tried to convey Patanjali Ashtanga yoga aphorisms (sutras) essence to the newlineschool children for the age group nine
