Abstract: | The policies have been implemented in different countries worldwide to blend the newlineethanol in the gasoline to mitigate the transportation fuel demand and to resolve the newlinepollutant impact on the environment, e.g. India has targeted to blend of 20 % ethanol newlineby 2022. To meet the set targets, the alternative raw materials such as agricultural newlineresidues have been considered promising resource for producing bio-ethanol due to newlineits availability and sustainability. These residues contain cellulose, hemicellulose newlineand lignin fractions. Xylose, a major fraction of hemicellulose, is a second most newlineabundant sugar content in lignocelluloses. Therefore, the utilization of newlinehemicellulosic fraction along with cellulose is required for economical newlinesustainability. newline |
