Abstract: | Transportation plays a very important role in every society. Thus, for newlinethe balanced development of economic and social systems of a country the newlinetransportation system has a significant importance. These include improvement newlinein vehicle technology and clean fuels. Electric Vehicle (EV) technology is newlinerapidly gaining popularity in recent times. There are possibilities of immense newlineenvironmental benefits as well, as the EVs can extensively reduce the newlinegreenhouse gas emissions produced by the transportation sector. newlineAmong all the energy resources, solar photovoltaic power generation newlineis one of the most promising renewable energy technologies. A single or newlinemultistage power electronic converter is necessary to convert PV generated newlinepower into useful power. A multistage power conversion involves DC-DC boost newlineconverter and DC-AC inverter. The solar PV powered Electric Vehicle solves newlinethe key downside of fuel and pollution is described in this thesis. It is an newlineinitiative in implementing eco-friendly transportation in the world to build a newlinegreen environment. In general, an electric vehicle uses a battery that is charged newlinefrom an external power supply, but in the proposed method solar PV modules newlineare used to charge a battery by means of absorbing radiation from the sun and newlineconverting it into an electrical power. The electrical power to batteries is newlineobtained from solar PV modules which might be associated either in series or newlineparallel and charge controllers. newlinePower electronic converters are used to step up or step down the system voltage newlinelevel.. The power converter topologies depend on the motors to be driven. For newlineelectric vehicular system, there is a need for highly reliable, flexible and fault tolerant newlineelectrical power processing system on board to deliver high quality of power, based on newlinethe vehicle demands. Because of high efficiency, silent operation, compact form, newlinereliability, and low maintenance BLDC motor gain its importance for EV newlineoperation. newline |
