Abstract: | ABSTRACT newline Plants having great potential to produce compounds with different drug activity, through which humans can take benefit for the healthy life. Several infectious diseases can be treated with the traditional remedies. From ancient time, humans are habitual to utilize plants and plant-derived products to cure and relief from physical and mental illness. The potential of higher plants is the source of drugs and these are still un explored. Aerosols generated during dental procedures have recently taken the forefront of discussion in dentistry mainly due to the COVID pandemic. Aerosols are the suspension of liquid or solid particles containing viruses and bacteria which are suspended in gas for few seconds.Potential transmission of disease to personnel during dental procedures has become a source of increased concern to the dental profession.Essential oils are natural products extracted from vegetal materials. They are used as natural additives in many foods due to their antibacterial, antifungal, antioxidant, and anti-carcinogenic properties.Lemongrass oil (Cymbopogoncitratus) is a volatile oil obtained from lemongrass leaves. The present study is also focused in elucidating the efficacy of oregano oil and Lemon grass oil counts in dental aerosol. newline newline |
