Abstract: | The understanding of changes in the earth s surface is significant, while examining the local, regional and global resources and environment. A mixture of the past and the present images from Remote Sensing investigates spatio-temporal pattern of environmental elements and impact of human activities in past decades. Wide researches have been carried out on methodology of remote sensing change detection and monitoring. newlineRemote sensing change detection approaches and comparative analysis are classified in the present assessment and results with many valuable terminations. These variations bring out the change detection methods from its core into following as direct comparison, classification, object-oriented method, model method, and time-series analysis. Simultaneously pre-processing involves the effect and approaches of geometric correction, radiometric correction and accuracy assessment. This research summarizes the current techniques of external and internal confirmations. It also analyses the issues currently faced in change detection with the possible counteractive measures. newlineDigital change detection technique helps to detect changes in images over time. It can be used as a cueing system to fascinate the attention of human analysts to interesting digital images from the large number of available images. Change detection techniques rely on differences in radiance values between two or more dates. These differences may be caused, due to an actual change in land cover, or difference in illumination, atmospheric conditions, sensor calibration or ground moisture conditions. The calibration of data or standardization between dates is essential, and the accuracy of the image registration is significant newline |
