Abstract: | In this thesis, various non-noble metal based electrocatalysts are explored for their potential applications in electrochemical storage and conversion devices. In general, these systems are mainly dependent on several electrochemical reactions, comprising hydrogen evolution reaction (HER) and oxygen evolution reaction (OER) for the energy storage via electrocatalytic water splitting, hydrogen oxidation reaction (HOR), and oxygen reduction reaction (ORR) in fuel cells, and both ORR and OER in rechargeable metal-air batteries. Therefore work represents a concerted effort to explore insights holding great possibilities to establish an efficient and cost-effective catalyst for the large-scale advancement of renewable technologies. newline |
