Abstract: Happiness is our original nature. Happy employees find the work meaningful, are more engaged at work, more involved in the job, a sense of thriving and vigor appears and ultimately, employees get enormous job satisfaction. Thus, happy employees in the workplace can bring miracles both in their personal life as well as in work life. But the matter of concern of present day workplace is employee unhappiness. Unhappiness brings forth negative vibes. Negative vibes lead to a dull face. Hence, employees become nonproductive and cost effective for the organization, which further leads them to follow the exit road. But the quitting strategy is not the Mae West. It is an ailment, not the solution. Teachers are the cornerstone of society. They are role models to their students. They evoke morality and ethics by providing quality education for their students. They play a pivotal role in building the nation. Miraculously, it has been noticed that spiritual practices in the workplace, offering attractive financial benefits and enhancing psychological capital are the infallible medicines to bring back happiness among employees. This research work attempts to unveil how workplace spirituality, financial benefits and psychological capital together can keep teaching professionals happy in the workplace. In doing so, data have been collected from the teaching professionals of all the government-aided colleges of Cooch Bihar district and Alipurduar districts of West Bengal through survey methods with the aid of a structured questionnaire. The collected data has been divided into four groups for identifying the opinion of the teachers in regards to happiness in their workplace. Further, an employee satisfaction index has been made and data related to employee satisfaction has been collected based on questions to calculate the employee satisfaction index.
