dc.description.abstractnewline quotThis research thesis consists of the analysis and presentation of the empirical findings, which are newlineprocessed from quantitative sources of data. The specific objectives of the study: to describe the challenges newlineand opportunities, implementation of appropriate and specific policies of Federal and regional government newlineto increase the income and reduce the sickness of a small business enterprise as well as to examine the newlinemajor factors that affect agriculture, trade, and to investigate the efficiencies of manufacturing industries newlinein the region. The research design was cross sectional and focuses on small business enterprises from Afar newlineregion. Considering the working sectors of the entrepreneurs operating small business enterprises, the newlinemulti-stage samplings were used to select the items from each sector to constitute representative samples. newlineAll the small business enterprises entrepreneurs were grouped into three based on their business sectors newline(Agro-pastorals, Traders and Manufacturing industries). Cluster sampling for agro-pastoral (100) as well newlineas census for trader (55) and manufacturer (36) entrepreneurs. Finally, 191 sample units were selected newlinefrom small business enterprises owners with the confidence level of 95% and an error limit of 0.05.quot newline
