Abstract: | Wireless Sensor Networks (WSNs) have gained huge notice in innumerable applications due to their ability to sense the event, gather the data, process the collected and forward it to the desired destination. This technology is widely embraced and has substantial influence on the efficiency of the applications in various applications such as these networks can be used for environment minoring or forest fining monitoring where accurate sensing, processing and forwarding of collected data can be helpful to take the required steps. However, these networks allocated limited resources such as batter capacity, memory, sensing capacity etc. which pose several challenges to design the applications for specific applications. The sensor nodes perform several tasks where it consumes more resources and maintaining limited energy consumption becomes an important task to elongate the network lifespan. Moreover, these networks are susceptible to various attacks and security threats thus security, and trustworthiness management is also crucial to exchange the sensitive information. Therefore, designing an end-to-end approach which can handle the issues of energy efficiency along with secure communication is highly desirable to obtain the Quality of Service (QoS). On the other hand, sensor node localization is an essential aspect which has noteworthy impact on the network performance. Localization is a method to assess the position of sensor nodes in the given geographical area and it discovers the spatial relations between communicating nodes. Various approaches are considered to solve issues with respect to localization problem. In these networks, aggregation is an important stage which is carried out at the aggregator node by the sensor nodes. Generally, this node is also responsible for data collection from other nodes. Data aggregation is crucial to reducing energy use since it eliminates unnecessary data and reduces retransmission. |
