Abstract: Construction industry is an integral part of a countryand#8223;s progress and development. It newlineincludes hospitals, schools, townships, offices, houses and other buildings; urban infrastructure newline(including water supply, sewage, drainage); highways, roads, ports, railways, airports, power newlinesystems, etc. covering as it does such a wide spectrum, construction becomes the basic input for newlinesocio-economic expansion of a nation. Mechanization and urbanization have resulted in the rapid newlinehike of the unorganized or informal sector in third world countries. This successively directed to newlinethe flourishing of the construction industry. Construction of building is basic of all industrial newlinedevelopment that comes under informal/unorganized economically. Around 3 crores of labourers newlineinvolved in the construction industry in India, which is the main source of livelihood for these newlinelabourers and their family. newline
