Abstract: | newline ABSTRACT newlineHuman resources in an organization has always been a driving factor for various industries as it is newlinethe ability of the talented workforce associated with the company that provides a competitive edge newlineto the employer. B schools are set of institution that are mainly into imparting management newlineeducation and the quality of education provided by B schools is determined by the knowledge , skill newlineand ability of the academicians employed with the institute. Attracting and retaining academicians newlineat B schools needs attention as aspects such as job fit, willingness to adapt to institutes work newlineculture, performance at work, capability to do multitasking mainly depends on ability of the newlineemployer to attract the right talent and continuity of employees service, their perception about the newlineemployer, ability to be productive and adaption to new practices at work is determined by Talent newlineretention. Attraction and Retention of Talent is proving to be a herculean task for Business newlineSchools as academician s expectation from their employer s has changed over the last few years newlineand ability to gauge B schools faculty expectation can help the Management institute to develop newlineand strengthen their talent pool. Academicians aspire to be associated with a B school that can newlineprovide a conducive work culture and also accommodate employees with various aspects that are newlinecrucial for their professional development, hence it is important for the B Schools to revamp their newlineimage as preferred employer and also develop a positive brand image for the institute. newlineThe research aimed to understand various factors that can contribute to Institutional Image, which newlinecan help to attract talented workforce to be associated with B schools and explore if the Institutional newlineImage aspects can also be influential in terms of Talent retention. Review of literature was helpful newlinein identifying the key variables that constitute Institution image and its relatedness with Talent newlineattraction and retention. The influences of demographic variables were assessed to understand its newlineimpact on academician s perception of Institutional image. Questionnaires reliability was assessed newlinethrough pilot study, which was utilized for collecting responses from randomly selected newlineacademicians from B Schools. The model fitness values were acceptable for further analysis. newlineSample size for the current research was taken from the population of academicians employed with newlineB schools approved by AICTE based in Bengaluru. Cochran s formula was used to derive sample newlinesize for the study and simple random sampling method was adapted for choosing 277 respondents newlinefor the research. Study outcome indicates that Development value; Economic values are the key newlineInstitutional Image factors that influence Talent attraction followed by Functional Value, newlinePsychological and Social Value. Academicians tend to develop disengagement towards the newlineemployer when their experience with the employer doesn t match with their expectation. The newlineproposed model based on the statistical analysis suggests that B Schools should focus on upgrading newlinetheir Institutional Image by concentrating on various factors that lead to Talent attraction and newlineensure that Employee Value Proposition is maintained by ensuring that academicians experience newlinethe factors and work culture as it was communicated during Talent attraction phase by the newlineemployer |
