Abstract

The ability of water corporations to manage the ongoing operations of their water treatment plants presents one of the major operational hazards to these businesses. Businesses are searching for solutions to enable them to forecast how their treatment processes might be improved as they face increased pressure to remain competitive. The mathematical modeling and optimization of clean water treatment processes are the main topics of this work. The major goal is to give water businesses the tools they need to forecast plant performance, which will help them better manage risks and uncertainties. In contrast to the mathematically describable linkages of the process that will be taken into consideration in this work, the majority of modeling work in the field of water operations has thus far been based on empirical data. Although the concept is well established in the process industry, the water treatment industry has not yet fully adopted it.
