Work life balance decisions are one of the most important areas of concern for her because, it affects the mental, physical, and psychological status of a woman. Work life balance decisions generally involve a large number of issues to be pondered upon before arriving at a conclusion. At family level she has implications for elders, children and husband. At the professional front, she has to fulfil work commitments and tested for loyalty, trust and competency etc. Therefore, the study is an attempt to analyse the impact assessment of glass ceiling on women executives in Punjab. The term Glass Ceiling was first popularized in the 1980 s by Gay Brayant in his book The Working Women Report which was published in 1984 and then again in an article printed in the Wall Street Journal on Barriers to Women in high Corporate Positions in 1986.
