Abstract: | The present study entitled Need of Vocological Training for Carnatic newlineVocal Music Students - An Experimental Study focused on evolving, newlinetesting and suggesting a comprehensive singing voice training method newlineformulated out of the existing voice training system in modern voice newlinepedagogy, accustomed to South Indian vocal music students. The entire newlinestudy comprised three main objectives that are meant to evolve a newlinevocological training strategy in the name of CSVTP (the Comprehensive newlineSinging Voice Training Profile) for Carnatic vocal students. Then its newlinevalidity was checked with an experimental study providing the training newlinematerials to selected samples of vocal music students in Carnatic style newlineand thus the indispensability of vocological training with Carnatic music newlinecurriculum. newlineThis study adopted the experimental method by splitting the total samples newlineinto the control group and experimental groups. The research design and newlinemethodology consisted of a formulated tool named CSVTP, the newlineComprehensive Singing Voice Training Profile, which contains two parts newline- a) PPSV and b) TPSV. The tools are administered in five stages. An newlineevaluation tool comprising questionnaires and audio clip puzzles were newlineused at the post-diagnostic session newlineFrom the final results, the validity and viability of method and tool newlineCSVTP have been judged. The consolidated data of observation have newlinebeen analysed in ten different sectors. (Detailed description is in chapter newline3 and 4) |
