Abstract: | The important features of Heat and Mass Transfer through isotropic and anisotropic porous media is seen in many simulation phenomena of Nuclear reactors and furnace, energy storage systems, slat gradient solar reactors, molten salt energy storage tanks, heat exchangers. Also, in construction of systems having multi layered walls, dual aperture air cavity in un ventilated space, whereas in the case of applications pertaining to material processing viz. crystallization process and growing crystals. On the other hand it can also be viewed in the areas of geophysical and astrophysical phenomena. Apart from this it can also be seen in a natural habitat like spread of wild fire. In view of all the above important phenomena and applications, here we made an attempt to understand heat and mass transfer in a finite enclosure by in cooperating different external constrains of physical forces into various physical models of real system with suitable assumptions by which the physical modified model is studied by applying different forces and interactions properties of heat and mass transfer and the following models are developed and solutions obtained for the modified models. The followings are the problems discussed in details in this thesis for various non deminesionalised physical parameters of the model to understand the characteristic behavior of velocity, temperature and concentration newline |
