Abstract: Conventional materials have imperatives in achieving extraordinary amalgamation of quality, newlinestrength, stiffness and density. To vanquish these shortcomings and to deal with the routinely newlinegrowing interest of current development, composites are the most promising materials of newlineinterest. Ceramic fortified aluminum based composites are gathering of front line Materials newlineto a great extent being used for present day propelled structural applications in view of their newlinecustomized design properties, which joins astonishing strength to-weight ratio, low cost, newlineSuperior tribological attributes, isotropic properties and reproducibility, etc. Properties of newlinealuminum based composites materials are by and large depend upon composite quality which newlineconsequently oversaw by manufacturing strategy used to develop composites. It is a very newlineimportant to note that acquiring superior mechanical, tribological and machining properties newlinein composite is not so easy as it depends on various number of factors. From the point of newlineidentifying appropriate reinforcement to manufacturing strategy implemented for developing newlinecomposite materials have huge influence on various properties. The reinforcement materials newlineselected should have excellent chemical compatibility to achieve superior interfacial newlinecharacteristics with matrix material. This is because the nature of interfacial bond between newlinematrix and reinforcement plays a vital role in deciding the properties of composite materials. newlineImplementing appropriate processing technique and parameters induces quality in the newlinecomposite materials in terms of uniform distribution of reinforced phase without any newlineporosity, shrinkage or cracks. In recent years there is a broad emphasis to improve aluminum newlinebased metal matrix composites with enhanced physical mechanical and machining properties. newlineThis might be because of fact that the utilization of innovative, low cost and unique newlinereinforcements in aluminum matrix augments the performance of composites by offering newlineexceptional features. In addition to this,
