dc.description.abstract | The modular architecture of the Internet and its high level of abstraction are primarily newlineresponsible for its success. As a result, the Internet is a highly diverse network that newlineaccommodates a wide range of electronic, wireless, and optical devices. Wireless tech- newlinenologies, on the other hand, are reaching the limitations of their capability. Hence, newlinethe cross-layer resource allocation and the scheduling approach allow optimization of newlinenetwork resources to enhance the network utilization and throughput.The capacity to newlineadjust and offer specific result as stated by the Quality_of_Service parameter is the newlinedriving force behind the development of Cross Layer Design. Throughput and fairness newlineare two critical characteristics of the QoS parameter. A network under review may newlinehave Maximum Throughput or Fairness based on the network standards. newline | |
