Abstract: | The social responsibility has been playing vital role from ancient age of Indian history newlineform time of Veda s and Sutra texts in Hinduism, in Buddhism as Jataks and in Islamic as newlineZakat wealth tax almost 4000 years ago, The section 135 of Companies Act 2013 describes newlineCorporate Social Responsibility viz., The company having worth of more or equal to Rs.500 newlinecrore or their turnover of Rs.1000 crore or more or profit of Rs. 5 crore and even more then newlinethis during any financial year shall constitute a CSR committee which should consist of three newlineor even more than that directors and one independent directors in that committee. newlineThe scope underlines the understanding of CSR initiatives carries in Medium and newlinelarge scale industries within Belagavi District. Research covers the understanding of the newlineresource selection and allocation to CSR initiatives among industries along with the problems newlinefaced by the companies in implementing selected CSR initiatives, the Researcher elicited newlineconsiderable number of review of literature to frame the Amid gap analysis followed by in newlineline objectives Previous study, by collecting the Required Primary data and Secondary Data newlineto arrive the conclusion for the objectives with the findings such as most organizations have newlinebegun their CSR initiatives after year 2014, most of them are carrying out CSR activities for newlineless than 5 years without any structural mechanism to implement CSR activities round the newlineyear by ignoring local heritage conservation and protecting culture and areas such as sports, newlineeducation, youth related project are popular CSR activities considered by firms for funding newline.firms need to serious about CSR it is not just about spending money it also helps enhance newlinebrand image of the firm and also encouraging customer loyalty.
