Abstract: | newline xxiv newlineABSTRACT newlineEffectiveness is the most sought organizational outcome across various profitable newlineor non-profitable organizations and manufacturing or service sectors. Organizational newlineeffectiveness as an ultimate organizational outcome comprises numerous aspects, newlineindicating it to be a multidimensional construct. Due to its multidimensional and newlinecontextual nature, the study surrounding it has been limited to a lack of common newlineagreement for a unified model and evaluation of effectiveness. Despite several measures, newlinethe construct s measurements over the period have been criticized for the limited scope newlineand over-reliance on certain domains of organizational effectiveness. Especially newlineconcerning evaluating organizational effectiveness in service sectors such as higher newlineeducation, although holistic framework-based, context-specific multidimensional newlinemeasures were reported in the literature, limited studies, especially in the Indian higher newlineeducational institutions, have been limited. The limited studies on organizational newlineeffectiveness in higher educational institutions have been non-holistic and focused newlinepredominantly on administrative employees and students. newlineTherefore, by adopting the guidelines for assessing organizational effectiveness in newlineacademic institutions, the present study investigated the psychological factors that act as newlineorganizational strengths and weaknesses in determining the effectiveness of the Indian newlinehigher educational institutions. The present study was conducted in two phases through newlinethe sequential explanatory mixed methods design. In the first phase, quantitative methods newlinewere used to collect and analyse the quantitative data through statistical analyses.
