Abstract: Sudha Murthy is a principled litterateur, innovative and engineering teacher, newlinetalented technician and highly respected with her philanthropic lady has proved as a postmodern newlinewoman by breaking the customs of education and opposes gender discrimination in newlinethe TATA engineering and locomotive company and placed as a first female engineer in the newlinefirm. She is mentioned as a trailblazer, who on the one hand has the enormous ability to newlineachieve the same level of professionalism as her counterparts, and on the other hand, a newlinestrong desire to leave everything at once to support her family. Her life provides a clear newlineview of a strong and progressive modern woman. Postmodern feminism seeks to be newlineuniversal and plural, challenging the stereotypical notions of feminism and replacing them newlinewith the complex identities of which gender is that constituents of class, race, ethnicity, newlinereligion and gender orientation. Postmodern feminism describes the contradictions in newlinefeminism and the reactions against especially second-wave feminism and third-wave newlinefeminism. newlineThis research work endeavours to explain Facing the Challenges of society in newlineselect works of Sudha Murthy . The select works include Mahashweta (2000), Dollar newlineBahu(2003), Gently falls the Bakula(2008), House of Cards (2013) and The Mother I Never newlineKnew(2014) which mainly highlight the characteristic of postmodern feminism. In all these newlineworks, we find the litterateur come up with liberation and economic independence to lead newlineself-respect and peaceful life. The attempt gives a change in society by the works of Sudha newlineMurthy. newlineThe Introductory chapter deals with the origin of literary criticism and the newlinedevelopment of Indian English fiction. The theories like Feminism, Liberal Feminism and newlinePostmodern Feminism are explained in detail. To give more reference to the work of trio newlinewriters and feminist litterateur have listed in chronologically. It also gives a deep newlineknowledge about the biography of Sudha Murthy as a post-feminist litterateur with the newlineremark of select works.
