Abstract: Over the last few decades, particle-reinforced Zn based metal matrix composites have newlinebegun to supplant monolithic Zn matrix. High strength to weight ratio, near-isotropic newlinecharacteristics, and cost are the key factors. Many researchers recommended the use of newlinemetal matrix composites in applications required in aviation, automobiles, and structural newlineengineering to withstand the heavy loads and extreme wear conditions. Several newlineadvancements in the field have resulted in the development of MMCs with micro/nano newlineparticulate reinforcements, which are revolutionary in nature due to their unique newlinestrengthening process. As a result, nano reinforced Zn metal matrix composites are newlineprojected to evolve unique characteristics. Numerous investigations have resulted in newlinenewer options to optimize engineering enforcements in composites for a variety of newlineapplications. Accordingly, the combination of Zn-15Sn as the base matrix and nano newlineparticles of B4C reinforcement is a unique combination that offers better properties. The newlinesaid composites can be tested for many required applications. In various engineering newlineapplications, significant advancements were made using many combinations of metal newlinematrix composites. Many researchers used the ball milling (high-energy), spray coating, newlinepowder metallurgy, sintering, and other casting procedures to prepare the metal matrix newlinecomposites which gives the improved mechanical properties to materials. newlineIn the present research work, quotInvestigation on sliding wear behaviour of Zn alloy newlinereinforced with Nano B4C compositequot was done to analyze the mechanical and wear newlinebehaviour of a unique Zn-15Sn alloyed with nano B4C composite. The said composite is newlineprepared by using a cost-effective two-step stir casting process and through which the newlineuniform distribution and homogeneity can be achieved by constant stirring. The newlinereinforcement used here is B4C nano particles which are not thoroughly researched in the newlinearea of Zn-15Sn alloyed metal matrix composites. newlineThe effect of addition of nano-sized B4C particulates on Zn-15Sn allo
