Abstract: TPM techniques is considered as one of the unique practices established by Japanese automobile newlinemanufacturing industries to achieve zero losses in production system. Later on, seeing the success rate in newlineautomobile manufacturing industries rest of the other manufacturing industries started adopting TPM newlinepractices in their production system. Hence, a study on Evaluation of Total Productive Maintenance newline(TPM) Practices in Select Manufacturing Industries in Karnataka is carried out. The study reveals that newlineimplementing TPM successfully in production system in select manufacturing industries is possible only newlinebecause of active participation from employees. This made realization for select manufacturing industries newlinethat employees are like power stations, and without their support, it is difficult to adopt any new techniques newlinein the manufacturing system. Therefore, the select manufacturing industries took the workers into their newlineconfidence by involving them in all decision-making processes. This made workers understand what TPM newlineis and how it is useful to incorporate it into our job. Apart from this, the manufacturing industries started newlineproviding education and training facility on TPM practices to reach zero level losses in production system. newlineFurther, to collect the data structured questionnaire was used as a research instrument, and questions were newlineconstructed using a five-point Likert scale. The sample size chosen for the study is 6 select manufacturing newlineindustries in and around Mysuru. For analyzing the impact of human factor in TPM, benefits of TPM and newlineorganization performance exploratory factor analysis were used and to construct the model Partial Least newlineSquare Structural Equation Model was used. Whereas to analyze the issues and challenges faced during newlineTPM implementation on select manufacturing industries, Kruskal Wallis test is applied. The study newlineidentified that after implementation of TPM in select manufacturing industries, benefits like overall cost newlineof production is reduced, employee s competency has incre
