Abstract: | Optimization Model is a well known decision making tool for determining the best newlinefeasible solution of the problem based on some criterion from set of available alternatives. newlineNowadays developing optimization models for the analysis of road transport networks under newlineuncertain environment is an emerging field of research in developing countries. As a result of newlinerapid global economic growth, many countries are being faced with overloaded transport newlinenetworks. Among all transports, Road transport plays a crucial role in promoting economic, newlinesocial and cultural development of all countries. Their importance has been recognized and newlinefound from the history that the communication through roadways has given the development of newlinecivilization, their quantity and quality has been improved significantly. Hence, the roadways are newlineone of the important means of communication for the mankind. newlineAt the present time, choosing the best routes for movement is an important task. The newlineoptimal route not only guarantees the timely fulfillment but also to significantly reduce the cost, newlinehigh security and etc. From a socio economic perspective, this ensures the preservation of newlinehuman and energy resources. Efficient management of Road transport network doesn t require newlinecritical route as it may have factors such as congestion, delay, accidents, nature of the road, etc., newlinewhich affects the flow of transportation. For the past years, the critical route selection is done by newlinenumerical methods as they considered the road attributes as crisp values. But, as years pass by newlinewith the fact of improvement in technology these crisp values were replaced by vague and newlineabstract values. So the usage of traditional optimization method lessens and therefore the road newlinetransport networks involve uncertain optimization methods of stochastic processes, fuzzy set newlinetheory, etc. newline |
