Abstract: Higher Education in India has undergone great positive transformation due to rapid newlinegrowth of Information Communication Technologies advancements. ICTs are widely used newlinein higher educational institutions for the purpose of teaching, learning, provisioning, newlineaccessing and general administration. It includes everything from issue of applications to newlineissue of degree certificates. There is a wide range of IT systems to support this entire process newlineof administration. Information Communication Technology (ICT) presents the material newlinethrough multiple stimuli like sounds, images, and movement thus catering the needs of newlinepsychomotor, visual, and affective learners (Haddad and Jurich, 2002). Radio-assisted newlineinstruction (RAI), Television-assisted instruction (TAI), Computer-assisted instruction newline(CAI), Internet-assisted instruction (IAI) are some of the dimensions of ICT-assisted newlineinstruction (UNESCO, 2014). Radio and television have been used for educational purpose newlinefor a long time. However, computer affected the educational process more than anything newlineelse. In addition to audio and visual sense, computer activates the sense of touch of the user newlineas well. It provides the opportunity of higher interaction to the users for the development of newlinetheir individual, creative, and intellectual abilities. Radio and television are now considered newlinecomparatively traditional technologies in education system as students remain passive newlinelearners while using these. Computers, however, provide more productive and innovative newlineinstruction and learning to enhance the intellectual and creative potentials of the students in newlinetoday s information society (Aduwa-Ogiegbaen and Iyamu, 2005). newline
