Abstract: Emotional Labour is demanding the employees to display the required emotions at newlineworkplace. Expecting employees to show positive team behaviours with colleagues and newlinecustomers is an illustrative element of Emotional Labour. Everyone do a certain amount of newlineacting in day-to-day life. This acting can take the form of surface acting or deep acting and newlinenurses engage in this task to provide healing stroke to the patients. Whether internalizing newlinethe emotions or taking efforts to display of required emotions is regulated by, to what newlineextent, an employee is bonded with the organization, which is termed as organizational newlineCommitment. newlineThis research on An Empirical Analysis of Emotional Labour among Nurses with newlineSpecial Reference to Chennai District was carried out with an objective to study the newlinerelationship between Organizational Commitment, Emotional Labour and its newlineconsequences burnout, job performance, Type A Personality and job satisfaction. newlineThe data for the study was collected from both the sources: primary and secondary. newlineThe primary data was collected through Questionnaire and the Secondary data existing in newlinethe form of literature, articles in Journals, Magazines, books etc was used. The analyses newlinewere carried out for the collected data. The findings were reported and suggestions were newlineprovided based on the findings to overcome the negative consequences of Emotional newlineLabour newline
