Abstract: | Short-range communications is the means of digital transmission newlinetechnique and has been now the backbone of many institutions and newlineorganizations due to the present pandemic situation occurring across the globe newlinedue to the COVID -19. Internet of Things (IoT) in 5G short- range newlinecommunications is becoming more predominant due to its salient features in newlinemany applications. Multiple input multiple output (MIMO) with IoT newlineconnectivity in short-range communications is playing a vital role. According newlineto 3GPP specification, included in the recent release all IoT technologies such newlineas Narrow Band IoT (NB-IoT) , Extended Coverage Global System for newlineMobile Communications IoT (EC-GSM-IoT), etc. that follows basically a newlineSingle Input Single Output (SISO) system model. MIMO IoT model can be newlinetreated as MIMO concepts applied to IoT connected devices. The two shortrange newlinewireless communication technologies with IoT connectivity considered newlinein the research work are Wireless Local Area Network (WLAN) and Wireless newlineBody Area Network (WBAN). newlineMIMO is considered as a major multi -antenna techniques for the 5- newlineth generation (5G) of cellular mobile communications. Exploiting the density newlineof nodes with huge quantity of antennas both at the mobile and base stations, newlineMIMO systems can provide enormous improvements in terms of throughput, newlinespectral efficiency and latency. With, the increased number of antennas newlinecomplexity increases and there exists always a BER performance -complexity newlinetrade off issues. IoT with MIMO finds extensive applications now-a-days and newlineits performance is critical for investigation. newline |
