Abstract: | The study entitled Perception of Agriculture University teachers and students about newlineutilization of ICT tools in Agricultural Education was undertaken during 2021-2022 at newlineUniversity of Agricultural Sciences, Dharwad, Karnataka with a sample of 100 teachers and newline150 students from all five affiliated colleges of UAS, Dharwad. A scale was constructed to newlinemeasure the perception of Agriculture University teachers and students about utilization of newlineICT tools in Agricultural Education. Data was collected from teachers and students through newlinepersonal interview method with the help of interview Schedule. Ex-post facto research design newlinewas employed. newlineMost of the teachers of Agricultural University had higher perception about ICT newlinetools. However a great majority (91.30%) of teachers had better perception of effectiveness newlineof ICT tools followed by speed (90.60%), user friendly nature (89.47%) and convenience newline(89.20%). They had high knowledge about e-mail which ranked first (99.20%) and majority newlineof teachers obtained knowledge about selected ICT tools by themselves. With respect to newlineutilization of ICT tools, the most utilized ICT tool by teachers was Internet/ web services newlinewhich ranked first (99.50%). Majority of teachers used ICT tools for gaining knowledge. newlineTeachers preferred ICT tools because its need based and saves time. Majority (80.40%) of the newlineteachers said they need training on installation and customization of software which ranked newlinefirst. Most of the teachers expressed that, they lack confidence to use ICT tools as it is modern newlinegadget. newlineMajority (85.47%) of the students had better perception about ICT tools because of newline speed followed by (84.07%) convenience (82.84%) storage and retrieval of information newlineand (82.83%) effectiveness . However (98.53%) students had high knowledge on use of MS newlinePowerPoint which ranked first.
