Abstract: Education, in today s world has so many branches, one of them is health education. The newlinesubject gives us proper knowledge about anything related to individual or mass health related newlineissues and various communicable and non-communicable diseases. Proper health education helps newlineto grow proper knowledge, awareness, attitude and practices against any diseases like Cholera, newlinePlague, AIDS, Polio etc. Among them Polio is such a disease which can ruin one s life forever. newlinePolio is a factor which still threats for many countries. Health education provides awareness to newlinechange the attitude of the people towards it. So, research in the field of health education with newlinespecial emphasis on Polio disease is urgently needed for our society. newlineOne of the most hideous mass disease, polio, fully named as poliomyelitis or infantile newlineparalysis. In this disease the Central Nervous System (CNS) are highly affected. The virus of newlinepolio affects the muscles and weakens them. Sometimes, it creates difficulties in walking or any newlinehand movement. It is harmful to common immune system of human body, e.g. effected people newlinesuffers from physical disturbance like fever, gastronomically disturbance, vomiting, nausea, newlineabdominal pain, constipation, and influenza like illness. In post polio syndrome people are newlinesuffering from muscles weakness and even paralysis. About 2-3% of children and 15-20% adult newlinedie due to paralysis. newlineIn India, eradication of polio was a tough job because the neighbor Pakistan is polio newlineaffected. So according to many polio problems was non-endemic to India. The main causes are newlineunhygienic atmosphere, poor sanitation structure especially in villages and slum areas. newlineIn 1988, a resolution Polio Eradication by 2000 was taken by World Health Assembly newline(WHA). In 1985, Tamil Nadu conducted a Polio Campaign.
