Abstract: newline Studies on pollutants of wastewater discharge have attracted wide attention over the past few newlinedecades because of their ever-increasing demand during rapid industrialization and growth in newlinepopulation. In this present work, investigations were carried out on the water sample collected newlinefrom sources of food waste discharged locations. The physicochemical parameters and heavy newlinemetals were analyzed. The results have been compared with the standard ones approved by BIS, newlineand ICMR regulations. All the essential parameters and heavy metals were analyzed in micellar newlineanionic surfactant sodium dodecyl sulfate (SDS), cationic cetyltrimethylammonium bromide newline(CTAB), and non-ionic polyoxyethylene glycoloctylphenol ether (Triton x-100) medium and newlinemicroemulsion (oil, surfactant, distilled water, and co-surfactant) medium. The mean resultant newlinedata were correlated and the coefficient matrix was calculated which showed a linear newlinerelationship. The surfactant reactivity order was anionic gt non-ionic gt cationic for wastewater newlinesamples. The reason for choosing anionic, cationic, and non-ionic surfactants was due to their newlineeasy availability, cost-effectiveness, and sensitivity. Overall these materials pose no or fewer newlineside effects if used in limited concentration depending upon the contamination. The data newlineobtained were expressed with a statistical model of the water quality index (WQI). The study of newlinewater quality was carried out for the outcome of the extent of pollutants present in the water. The newlinethreats posed by the quality of water to the environment and mankind were also studied.
