dc.description.abstract | In the most recent couple of decades, the utilization of renewable power sources has turned out to be more prevalent as a dependable and clean vitality, and with a specific end goal to accomplish an efficient and renewable energy power generation. An appropriate combination of solar and wind power generation system is able to do better increases in the power generation with affordable costs, and additionally enhancing the general system reliability. Renewable energy sources such as solar energy and wind are two promising alternative sources of energy that combine to create a hybrid energy system to meet the load demands. Due to the intermittent nature from these sources, stability power generation continuously cannot be produced because they are weather dependent. Therefore, a suitable backup / storage device is always needed to provide continuous power generation and also to meet the load demand. The hybrid system with backup / storage devices can be connected in grid connection mode. Based on the power generation capability of the hybrid system it will be connected to meet the load demand. newlineThe objective is to analyze control strategy for a proposed hybrid power system for stand-alone applications. In this work Adaptive Power Management System (APMS) and Versatile Energy Spectral algorithm (VESA) control strategy are implemented to optimize the both solar and wind power generation. The control system also measure the power generation, if the generation power is equal to the grid power, then the power generation of the hybrid system will synchronized with grid system. newline | |
