Nowadays, numerous techniques have been suggested for Active Noise newlineControl (ANC) systems. The Filtered - x - Least Mean Square (FxLMS) newlinealgorithm is used to update the filter coefficients of adaptive filter in ANC newlinesystem. Further the performance of the FxLMS algorithm can be improved newlineby altering the step size and structure of the existing method. In this research, newlinefollowing methods are proposed to overcome the tradeoff between newlineconvergence rate and low steady state error. newline A Two Level Variable Step Size (TLVSS) FxLMS Algorithm newline A Variable Step Size (VSS) Adaption FxLMS algorithm for newlineANC systems newline A modified FxLMS algorithm with adaptive step size for newlinefeedforward ANC system based on a new online secondary newlinepath modeling technique newline A Modified FxLMS Algorithm for Active Impulsive Noise newlineControl newline Soft Threshold FxLMS Algorithm with Harmonic Mean Step newlineSize for Active Impulsive Noise Control newlineA TLVSS FxLMS algorithm has been proposed for a typical ANC newlinesystem. This new algorithm will improves the convergence as well as newlinereduction in noise compared with conventional FxLMS algorithm. newlineA VSS method is presented for the FxLMS algorithm, in which system newlineuses the large step for improving the convergence rate at the beginning and newlineuses small step size when the system start to converged for low steady state newlineerror. newline
