dc.description.abstract | Natural fibers plays vital role as reinforcement in polymer matrix newlinecomposites for different potential applications. Thus, they have a larger newlinebearing on the socioeconomic development of a country. The continually newlineincreasing demand for eco friendly and sustainable products are forcing newlineautomakers and material researchers to consider the ecological important of newlinetheir products during processing, recycling and disposal. Therefore, the newlineexploit of natural fibers to make sustainable and biodegradable composites newlinehas generated a huge deal of interest. Natural fibers are significant agricultural newlinebiomass contributing to malaysian economy. The vast and extensive range newlineaccessibility of natural fiber can diminish the pressure on forest and newlineagriculture. The utilization of various raw materials in the same will help to newlinekeep an ecological balance in nature. Commonly agriculture sources and newlineforest product generate 30 40% waste materials which can also be used in newlinevalue added processing. Natural fiber reinforced composites have introduced newlinein the automobile market significantly over the last ten years because of their newlinerenewability, biodegradability, recyclability, eco-friendly, light weight, better newlinespecific strength, good resistance to impact and corrosion, abundantly newlineavailable, ease of processing, and cost effectiveness. Due to cost effectiveness newlineand weight reduction, natural fibers reinforced composites are becoming newlinebetter replacements to petroleum/synthetic fibers like aramid, kevlar, carbon newlineand glass fiber reinforced polymer composites and transportation industries newlinehave instigated to perform these composites in many applications like car newlineinteriors, exteriors, dash boards, bumper, spoilers, seat covers and mirror newlinecasings etc. newline | |
