Abstract: | The aggressive use of non renewable resources has caused some major newlineissues, such as production of more pollution and greenhouse gas emissions newlineleading to environmental concerns. In recent years, distributed generation newlinebased on Renewable energy sources (RES) are increasing interest to be used newlinein the modern power systems. The reason is that the traditional sources cause newlineenvironmental problems and subject to shortage in the near future. In newlineaddition, renewable energy resources are inexhaustible. In the last few years, newlinedistributed power generation based on renewable energy has continued to newlinedevelop across the world due to its benefits for the global environment. Wind newlineand Solar energy, are considered to be the main attributes of renewable energy newlinefor electricity generation, and are growing at faster rate for the last two-three newlinedecades. Renewable generation from these sources has increased substantially newlineand forms a significance proportion of the total generation in the grid. newlineIntermittent energy from solar and wind have a huge impact on loads newlinesecurity, since those loads have no connection with the grid. Thus, any newlineshortfall in power generation from those sources may leave the connected newlineloads without power supply. Voltage fluctuation and harmonics are the major newlinepower quality issues. The types of grid interfaces used with Photo voltaic newline(PV) and Wind are Power electronics converter. It plays a major role in newlinerenewable energy systems. These converters are used to regulate and shape an newlineelectrical signal in the required form. Here, Buck-Cuk power converter is newlineused to regulate the level of voltage by controlling the switching pulse of the newlineconverter based on the duty cycle ratio. The combination of solar PV and newlinewind sources improves the overall energy output. newline |
