Abstract: | The purpose of this study is to find out the impact of Human Resource Information newlineSystem (HRIS) on the employee satisfaction in the selected private sector banks. It becomes newlineimportant to understand why HRIS of banking sector needs an attention. One reason is that the newlinebanking sector plays an important role in socio-economic development of the nation and also newlineHRIS is growing constantly in this sector. Therefore, the population of study is the employees newlineworking in the top five private sector banks (as per Reserve Bank of India) i.e. HDFC, Kotak newlineMahindra, ICICI, Axis and IndusInd bank in Bengaluru, India, at the time of the survey. newlineBased on the available data as on April 2020, the target population of this study was newlineapproximately 8153. Using the sampling formula, 367 respondents were selected through a newlinerandom selection basis. Strategic efficiency, Operational efficiency, Relational efficiency, and newlineManagerial efficiency (all Human resource efficiency factors) were considered as four newlineindependent variables and Employees satisfaction variable was considered as dependent newlinevariable for the regression model. The objectives of the study were to explore the extent of newlineexisting HRIS applications being practiced in private sector banks, study of the perceptions of newlineemployees towards HRIS, measure the strategic, operational, relational, and managerial newlineefficiency of private sector employees and finally to determine the impact of HRIS applications newlineon employee satisfaction. newline |
