Now a days steel - concrete composite structure is being widespread newlineacross the globe, since they syndicate the benefits of both steel and concrete newlinematerials. There has been massive advancement in the field of Structural newlineEngineering in the last few decades. One of the remarkable advances made in newlinethe field is the construction using composite materials. Steel-concrete newlinecomposite columns are used widely in modern buildings; numerous research newlineworks on conventional reinforced concrete column have been carried out in the newlinepast. newlineThis research work aims i) to study the behaviour of Concrete Filled newlineSteel Tube (CFST) columns filled with different types of concrete infill newlineexperimentally and to demonstrate the better performance of expansive newlineconcrete filled CFST columns in terms of bond strength and axial compressive newlinestrength, ii) to determine the bond strength and axial compressive strength of newlineexpansive concrete filled CFST columns by varying the parameters such as (i) newlinelength of CFST column (450mm to 750mm); (ii) diameter of column (55- newline220mm) and (iii) age of concrete (28 360 days), iii) to numerically simulate newlinethe behaviour of CFST columns tested for axial compression and validate the newlineproposed finite element model using ABAQUS, iv) to conduct theoretical newlineinvestigation on CFST columns using ACI-318, AISC-LRFD and Euro Code 4 newline(EC4), v) to conduct parametric study on CFST columns using proposed Finite newlineElement Analysis and to compare the experimental, numerical and analytical newlineinvestigation results. newline
