FUNCTIONING OF CENTRAL ADMINISTRATIVE TRIBUNAL with special reference to a Bench at Hyderabad

Abstract

In current society, principal organ of the State dealing with the administration of justice is judiciary , which consists of set of ordinary courts of law, organized in a hierarchical manner. From a traditional perspective they are viewed as objective institutions of justice and symbolize the seeds of justice . Administration of justice is today universally regarded as a function exclusively belonging to the State. As such, every State has evolved a machinery to discharge this function. newlineIn this study an attempt is made systematically to analyse the various legal provisions relating to establishment, composition, jurisdiction, procedure, powers and functions of the Central Administrative Tribunal. Further the questions as to what nature of cases can be brought before the tribunal, what type of persons can approach the tribunal and those who cannot approach the tribunal to agitate their grievances have also been analysed. newline
