The problems associated with increasing waste due to rising urban newlinedevelopment and its environmental concerns have necessitated the need for newlinethe development of sustainable waste containment systems. River sand - newlinebentonite mixtures are commonly used as a liner material in secured waste newlinecontainment systems. The present rate of sand mining exceeding newlinereplenishment rate can have far-reaching social and environmental newlineimplications. Sustainably managing the natural resources is becoming newlineincreasingly crucial as the world is working collectively to meet the newlineSustainability development goals (SDGs). So, in the present study sustainable newlinematerial, manufactured sand (M sand) is used as an alternative to river sand newlinein the usual liner soil. In the study, suitability of compacted M sand-bentonite (BMS) as newlineliner material was investigated by comparing its properties with River sand newlineBentonite mixtures (BRS) and Sundried marine clay (SMC). The properties newlineand behavior of the mix varied depending upon the proportion of sand and newlinebentonite in the mix. Samples with three different proportions each with M newlinesand bentonite and River sand - bentonite in ratios 80-20, 85-15and 90-10 newlinewere used for the study. newline
