Metal Matrix Nano composites prove suitable significant applications in automotive, aero, chemical industries, structural application and diversional fields that require deep analysis of machined surface, which determine the material to overcome rigorous condition of stress, high temperature, and corrosion. They offer good mechanical characteristics such as hardness, porosity, tensile strength, heat conductivity, ductility and wear resistance. The flow of aluminium matrix (Al6061) embedded with reinforcement materials usually ceramic (Silicon Carbide and Nano TiO2) with equal dimension in all direction or an aspect ratio less than 4. Drilling characteristics of MMC is distinct from the pure alloy drilling, because of the anisotropic and inhomogeneous characteristics of materials blending. newlineThe present research deals with the analysis of microstructure, mechanical and wear characteristics of Al6061 with Silicon Carbide and Rutile Nano TiO2 composites. Al MMCs are fabricated by employing stir casting method and also the composite strength is measured by thrust force using drilling process. newlineInitially composites were prepared by mixing Al6061 with SiC (1, 3, 5, 7 and 9 wt%) with different proportion and these composites were compared with unreinforced Al6061 specimen. Characteristics of the Al MMC composites like, impact strength, compressive load, tensile strength, percentage of elongation and hardness were analysed. newline
