Abstract: This, thesis comes up with a 2-bit reversible adder-subtractor where an optical control signal identifies the behaviour as an adder or subtractor. It is also essential to study the system behaviour of the design as very few works in literature have focussed in behavioral working functionality with very few parameters to be altered. Therefore, the thesis works in great depth to modify various parameters such as Ti diffused width, asymmetry analysis, electrode voltage (electrical signal) etc. to cross verify the functionality of the design. Another essential aspect that is covered in this work is the conversion of the optical signal into an electrical signal via a pin-photo diode (PPD) and amplier (Amp.) and the process is called as opto-electric (OE) conversion. The output of any RG is an optical signal, which is converted to an electrical signal and then provided to the next EO-MZI of a different design, making it essential to investigate OE conversion. newline
