Abstract: ABSTRACT newlineThe thesis is embodied with Synthesis, characterization and catalytic newlineapplications of iron titanate (FeTiO3) nanoparticles and evaluation of their biological newlineactivity . In this regard, the research work has been distributed into six consecutive newlinechapters and the major outlines in the respective chapters were presented below. newlineCHAPTER 1: INTRODUCTION: newline newlineThe fundamental aspects involved in the proposed research work have been newlinepresented in chapter 1. The research work has been conducted in the area of materials newlinechemistry, and the role of nanocatalysts in performing the catalytic activity in newlinedifferent fields of chemical sciences has been discussed. Majorly, the core research newlinefields such as photocatalysis, adsorption, organo-catalysis and biological activity newlinestudies were given the priority areas of research to be performed. After analyzing the newlinestructural and crystalline nature of various metal ferrites, it has been identified that the newlinemetal titanates (MTiO3) are another alternative materials which can extend their newlineapplications in various fields of chemical sciences. Therefore, the importance and newlinestructural attributes of few metal titanates was discussed, and finally the scope and newlineobjectives of the proposed research work were outlined. newline newlineCHAPTER 2: NANO IRON TITANATE CATELYZED ONE-POT GREEN newlineSYNTHESIS AND ANTIBACTIRIAL ACTIVITY STUDY OF newlineCYCLOHEPTA[d]PYRIMIDINE-2(5H)-THIONE DERIVATIVES. newline newline newlineThis chapter describes the one-pot synthesis of Cyclohepta[d]pyrimidine- newline2(5H)-thione derivatives (4a-e) using the synthesized iron titanate nanoparticles. The newlineprotocol was enabled under solvent free conditions and the associated experimental newlinefactors such as role of catalyst weight, influence of the various iron titanate newlinenanoparticles, refluxing time and temperature, comparison the catalytic activity of the newline newlinei newlineAndhra University, Visakhapatnam newlineAndhra University, Visakhapatnam newlineiron titanate nanoparticles with other metal ferrites (MFe2O4, M= divalent metal ion) newlineand recyclability of the nanoparticles have
