dc.description.abstractnewline ABSTRACT newlineThe medicinal plants played an important role in the discovery of new drugs. newlineA lot of natural product was used as a pharmaceutical product in the treatment of newlinemany diseases. Despite the availability of synthetic drugs, the herbal formulation is newlinedesirable, and hence they are investigated with renewed interest all over the World. newlineTherapy with herbal drugs is an older traditional system and plants have been used newlineover the years for the treatment of various ailments. A lot of researchers and newlinescientists to evaluate the biological activity, less toxicity, and safety of medicinal newlineplants to promote their use for the development of new pharmaceuticals which may newlinebe more potent than currently used for the various disorders. newlineAmong the thousands of Indian medicinal plants, Rhynchosia cana was newlineselected for the present study by their use in Ayurvedic and traditional medicine. The newlineliterature survey revealed that theis plants were used in different polyherbal newlinepreparations and extract used to treat the various disorders like fever, pain, newlineinflammation, hepatotoxicity, cancer and helminthic infections. Due to lack of newlinescientific experimental evidence of these activities, it was thought worthwhile to newlinetake the phytopharmacological screening of these plants for these various activities newlineusing different In silico, In-vitro In-vivo models. newlineThe whole plant of Rhynchosia cana was collected from Tirumala hill region, newlineTirupati, Chittoor District, Andhra Pradesh, India. The plant materials were newlineauthenticated by Dr. K. Madhava Chetty, Department of Botany, Shri newlineVenkateshwara University, Tirupati, India. The voucher specimens (Voucher No- newline0887) was deposited in the museum, Department of Botany, Shri Venkateshwara newlineUniversity, Tirupati, India.
