Abstract: newline A power system must be preserved at a scheduled frequency which is generally newlineachieved by controlling the active power generated in the system. Under deregulation, newlinemany traditional control methods are replaced by a system of decoupled ancillary services. Load frequency control (LFC) or frequency regulation is one such service, which newlineneeds an improved and open communication infrastructure.
