Abstract: India being a developing economy which is mainly agro-centric, naturally, for the allied newlinesector there is huge prospective to serve the domestic and international market according to newlinepresent demand. This pre-supposes value addition, development of sustainable supply and newlinedistribution system which in turn will reduce the losses and wastages, generate good income newlinefor farmers and processing units. Besides this it will also boost the avenues for employment newlineopportunities for locales, increases exports, are these lead to the growth of the organized fruit newlineprocessing and distribution system . newlineAs the opportunities in the marketing of processed food products are on high, there is a need newlineto improve infrastructural and technological requirement of the sector with respect to newlinedistribution of end products in the extremely competitive markets, both domestic and global. newlineGrowing economy in the food processing sector offers better opportunities to the new as well newlineas the existing players . newlineThe present study attempts to analyze the current state of existing Distribution system of newlineprocessed fruit product of mainly three districts of North Karnataka evidently Belagavi, newlineVijayapura and Dharwad where maximum fruit processing industries are located.
