Abstract: Background: Hypertension (HTN) is a complex, multifactorial trait, arises from the combined newlineresult of genetic variants and environmental factors. Angiotensin II type 1 receptor (AT1R) newlinegenetic variants are linked with the pathophysiology of HTN and increased expression level of newlineangiotensin II type 1 receptor (AT1R) protein in HTN. Still, a significant involvement of AT1R newlinegenetic variants and AT1R protein expression level remains uncertain in HTN. Biomarkers of newlineoxidative stress (OS) are also involved in the pathogenesis of HTN and endothelial dysfunction newline(ED) is also associated with HTN. However, a significant connection of OS, as well as ED, newlineremains ambiguous in HTN. newline
